How to Cut Long Videos into Instagram Reels

A good Reel cut from a long video should feel like a complete piece, not an accidental fragment. Find the boundary of the idea

Listen for the earliest sentence a new viewer needs and the first natural ending after the payoff. The best range may include a short setup, but it should skip greetings, housekeeping, repeated questions and the moment the speaker moves on.

If you already know the moment, manual start and end times are the most reliable option. If you are exploring a long recording, automatic candidates save hours of scrubbing.
